You need someone focused not only on safety but preventative maintenance ensuring continuity of your program. Steven provides reports of your system chemistry and any technical issues that need your attention monthly.

What does a Commercial Stop By Steven Look Like?

  • First, is the walk around. This is to clear any obstructions and ascertain the current condition of the pool floor. If there are any skimmers along the edge of the pool they are pulled, placed on the deck and that skimmer hole is cleared of obstructions or debris.
  • Second, is the equipment room check. Starting from the inlet of your pump(s) and working his way back to the return line to the pool. The devices and controllers in between are checked for leaks and faults. Anything found the client should be aware of is noted in the digital log that is sent to the client. For anything that needs their attention immediately, a phone call or text is generated before moving on to next step. If any chemical feeders need filling, they will be filled with the chems provided or purchased from Steven.  Pump baskets and strainers will be pulled and cleared if required. 
  • Next is the chem tests. Steven uses a combination of a Taylor kit and Aqua Check test trips to provide the most accurate results and records them in the software app on his phone. A report is generated every time a visit is made. If you are using a paper report, He will transfer the needed information. However, a digital report can be sent to you that you can print. This report also includes any chemicals that were added and if they weren't a recommendation of what is needed for the best swimming experience in your pool. Steven requires at the point of service all chemicals needed to balance and control the water quality of the pool be stored in or near the pump room. 
  • Ok, it's time to clean your pool. The best Poolmen start at the top and work their way down to the floor. So, if during that walkthrough he noticed a lot of debris on the floor of the pool the first thing he will do is setup his vacuuming rig. Steven is just the same. Only, if your pool has leaves or debris closer than 10ft from the edge of your pool, he will blow off the deck to a place where you wish but cannot blow back into the pool.  The best way to use less chemicals and lengthen the life of your equipment is to make sure mother nature gets in your pool as little as possible. 
  • Daily, biweekly or weekly service schedules. The rest of the service is like everyone else from the periodic brushing of the walls or tiles to pouring additives daily or weekly.  A lot of what steven is able to do though is dependent on whether there are any swimmers in the pool when he is scheduled to make his stops. The higher the bather load the more often he should come as it is less likely a full service can be done at each stop.  It is important to schedule Steven at such a time where he can do a complete service whenever possible. This is difficult for highly active swim programs.  He will work as around that to provide the best service possible and provide you with the actions and knowledge you need to keep the health inspector at bay.  It takes roughly 45 minutes for every 60,000 gallons from start to finish doing every task covering basic service.  Longer if there is a leaf problem.  Your subscription service fee will be based on how many stops per week, how long it takes to be at that stop on average to leave your pool clean and clear.  And finally, if there are any chemicals Steven needs to provide.
